Snow Day!

With a foot of fresh snow on the ground and the day off work (well, our labs aren't technically closed for the holiday, but any day that day care is closed becomes a day off by proxy . . . sweet), we decided to get some fresh air and go for a hike. Evan was very interested in why the park looked so different from normal, but then sleepiness got the better of him and he took a good nap during the second half of the walk.



Also, my project for the day was to convert our foyer room into a playroom for Evan so he can crawl and roll around in there while we get ready in the morning. So far, it seems to be a hit with Evan. Not so much with Nicky, who is afraid to walk through the gates, afraid to walk on the playmat surface, and completely freaked out by the fact that the gates are sometimes closed. Maybe it will be better tomorrow after he has the day to do recon while we're gone.
